About Us

Gary's Pet World was established in Letterkenny, Co.Donegal 1993 by Gary Cooney as a supermarket-style shop where local customers can browse and buy from a vast range of competitively priced products for their pets. Gary's quickly became the largest one-stop pet shop in Ireland gaining a nationwide reputation for service excellence in a friendly and homely environment.

Every weekend parents would bring their children into the store from all over Donegal, Tyrone, Derry and Sligo to see the colourful parrots, budgies, fish and small animals we had in store.

The staff at Gary's Petworld have exceptional knowledge of pets and pet-care and real enthusiasm for the work they do. If you ever have any question about your pet care or if you are considering getting a pet, be sure to get in touch with us over the phone and we will bring 50 collective years of pet store knowledge to you over the phone. Our number is 00353749127559.

In October 2014 Gary's Pet World moved into a new retail space across the road at Cooney's Home and Garden. This allowed us to expand our business offerings and provide a better service for our customers. We have dedicated a large space to our beloved Gary's Petworld store and now feature one of the best Christmas shops in the North West.

A garden centre, gift-ware and furniture department have been added in the past year and our garden centre staff are trained horticulturists with the expertise to advise you on all your gardening needs.

Back in 2009 we started trading online as Petworld.ie - Ireland's best online pet store. This allowed us to provide quality products across the country. Petworld operates alongside the well known Gary's Petworld.

We also offer pet products to the UK through our partner site Petzone.co.uk.

Gary's Pet World cater for all pet needs - on this website there are special departments for dogs, cats, birds, fish and many small animals including reptiles. We would like to invite you to visit Gary's Pet World at Pearse Road Retail Park, Letterkenny between Lidl and Harry Corey and beside Mc Donald's.
